I have received an e-mail from Rahakott, what should I do?

We never send out e-mails on our own initiative, so if you receive an e-mail supposedly from Rahakott, delete it (mark it as spam). Such emails are phishing.

What fee amount is charged for transfers and when are the funds credited to the account?

Fee amount, number of confirmations of the network required for crediting your account can be found on this page.

I have forgotten the mnemonic phrase. How can I recover it?

It is impossible to recover your mnemonic phrase. Any possibility of recovery affects the safety of your wallet or its anonymity, so it is extremely important to make backups of your phrase. Keep all backups encrypted, and also consider the possibility to print the mnemonic phrase and securely hide it. Also ensure your computer and devices are free from malware and spyware. Never install any programs you are not familiar with. Always download programs and apps from a source you are familiar with and trust. Whenever possible check the hash sum (256 SHA SUM) of the apps you are installing if the vendor provides it.

I have forgotten my password. Is it possible to recover it?

Recovering the password is possible only in case the client can provide the help desk with the accurate information about:

  • last outgoing transaction, its amount, cryptocurrency and destination address
  • last incoming transaction, its amount, cryptocurrency and destination address
  • number and types of cryptocurrency wallets in the account
  • any other information requested by the help desk
I entered the wrong password a few times and the message 'Password guessing' appeared. Is my account locked?

We do not use long-term locking of accounts. After the message 'Password guessing' appears, you can go to the main page and type in your mnemonic phrase and an assumed password again. If the password is lost, contact the help desk to reset it.

What is the link "Additional Receive Addresses" used for?

You, as a payment recipient, can give a separate address and give it a name to differentiate your incoming transactions. This could be used for products, providing services, payment from an employer, anything to help you keep track for your own accounting reasons. Senders will only have to transfer funds and inform you about the used address so that you can confirm receiving the payment. The senders themselves do not even need to create a wallet on Rahakott.

The recipient requires the transaction id after I sent the funds. Where can I find it?

The transaction identifier can be found once a transaction has been accepted by the network, just look on your history page and click "View on blockchain". You can copy and paste the transaction ID from the new window.

How can I verify that the wallet really sent the funds to the recipient?

There are numerous websites that allow you to verify sending by providing your transaction id. They show transaction details including the recipient and the amount (information about the transaction id can be found above).

All the services that are specified above are external and we cannot guarantee their constant availability and workability.

I transferred the funds to the address which was shown on a blockexplorer site as an input but the funds were not credited. What should I do?

Never send funds to the addresses that are shown on blockexplorers as inputs of your previous transactions. This may result in a loss of funds. If that happens by mistake, we can try to recover those funds. The recovery fee is $20. In order to prevent this situation, you can deposit your account only by using the addresses specified on the 'Addresses' or 'Deposit' page in Rahakott wallet.

I have enabled authentication with the one-time password that is displayed on the phone. How can I log into my account if something happens to my phone?

There is an alphanumeric code on the page for enabling a one-time password. It is shown under the QR-code and it should be written down and saved in case of a breakdown or loss of your phone. You can enter this code on a new device to receive one-time passwords for your account again. If you have already enabled the one-time password but have not written down the alphanumeric code, you can temporarily disable two-factor authentication, then go back to its activation page, write the new alphanumeric code, take a picture of the QR code and enable two-factor authentication again. If you are unable to access, you will need to contact support for 2FA reset with the same details as per 'I have forgotten my password'

My one-time password (OTP / 2FA) stopped being valid, although everything worked fine before. How to fix it?

The generation of one-time passwords depends on the correct time of the mobile device. Sometimes you need to synchronize this time. For example, in Google Authenticator, you can do this by selecting 'Settings' - 'Time correction for codes' and clicking 'Sync now'.

What is mixing used for?

The mixing service is designed to anonymize transactions and significantly obfuscate their tracking, making all of your mixed transactions private and anonymous. When you use mixing, the chain of directly receiving and sending addresses in the blockchain is broken and it becomes impossible to associate you as a sender and your transfer with the recipient. Even if a violator or the controlling authorities in any way found out that the receiving address belongs to you, this transaction could be sent from anyone, anywhere, even though the amounts are similar. The sending IP address is a private and anonymous IP address not owned by you, and no IP addresses are stored on the block chain. If you check the box "quick mixing" (similar to the mixing code for regular mixers) or use the fully-featured mixer, you are guaranteed to receive cryptocurrency from the addresses that do not belong to you or your account.

What is the difference between the quick mixing mode (checkbox 'quick mixing') and the fully-featured mixing (page 'Mixer') mode?

To mix funds, you can use either the quick mixing (using the checkbox 'quick mixing') mode or fully-featured mixing on the page 'Mixer'. Both modes use the same algorithm of obscuring your addresses and maintain your privacy and anonymity but differ in features.

Use quick mixing when:

  • you send funds to only one address
  • you do not need to set the delay of sending
  • privacy is not as much of a concern

Use fully-featured mixing when:

  • you need to send funds to a few addresses
  • you want to set a particular delay for each transfer
  • fees are relative to the priority and need for privacy
  • you would like to set distribution shares of the funds, as a percentage of the overall amount
  • choose a deeper and more complicated mix proceedure (number of rounds to mix with anonymous transactions)
What is the checkbox Exact Amount Internal Send used for?

On the Send Page, 'Exact Amount Internal Send' checkmark, indicates you want the receiving internal address to receive the exact amount you enter into the 'Amount' box. The Interal Send will send directly to an address on your account within Rahakott for lower Network Fees and 0% processing fees.

What is the checkbox Exact Amount External Send used for?

Can be used for bill payments or service payments that require an exact amount to be delivered. On the Send Page, 'Exact Amount External Send' checkmark, indicates you want the receiving address to receive the exact amount you enter into the 'Amount' box. The send amount plus Network Fees and Processing Fee of 0.75% (three quarters of one percent) will need to be available for use in the sending wallet. These funds are NOT MIXED unless previoiusly mixed into the wallet. To ensure privacy and remain anonymous, it is recommended to create separate sub wallet for mixed funds, and mix funds into the sub wallet before sending exact amounts to external addresses.

My account balance seems out of sync or has a stuck pending amount?

In rare situations, due to the decetralized nature of our fully secured, encrypted, and anonymously routed wallet servers, sometimes the balance can become out of sync. We placed a 'Resync Wallet Balances' (page 'Settings') to be used in this circumstance.

What should I do if I receive a message on my account message page with the subject 'Password Guessing Attempt Detected!' ?

This message will only appear in your message area of your account when someone has attempted to enter the incorrect password too many times and the access was temporarily locked. If this was you, you can ignore and delete the message. If this was not you, consider how your Mnemonic Phrase may have been compromised, either by malware or using a non-trustworthy device. Then if you consider it to be enough of a risk, create a different account on Rahakott and use internal transfer to transfer funds to the new account, delete or stop using the old account.

What should I do if I receive a message on my account message page with the subject 'One Time Password Guessing Attempt Detected!' ?

This message will only appear in your message area of your account when someone has attempted to enter the incorrect One Time Password (2FA) too many times and the access was temporarily locked.

I sent a small amount on the highest mix setting and the received amount is almost half. Why?

Network Transaction Fees stay the same whether you send 15.00 EUR and it is 0.00100000 BTC or 8,000.00 EUR and it is equal to, example, 0.50000000 BTC. If you send a small test amount of 0.001 BTC at the highest mix setting, it will seem like a lot of fees are taken out of the amount. Sending 500.00 or 1000.00 EUR, the fees would be negligible. Also, the Estimated Fees are usually 5x or 10x higher than what is actually paid during the transaction. It is impossible to tell how much the fee will be before the transaction is sent, but our intelligent next gen fee system chooses the best fee that will be accepted into the next block or two, while giving you the best fee rate. You can even try the Checkbox 'Lower' fee setting in the (page 'Mixer') and usually your transaction will move much quicker than the estimate time given.
